Chandra & Naveen celebrated their marriage surrounded by the most loving, energetic group of family and friends! Thursday was the Sangeet (Mehndi) night, a tented celebration which Naveen's parents hosted in the backyard of their home in Rochester. There were food trucks, henna artists, Bollywood style dance performances, the jaggo, and tons of dancing as the DJ mixed a high-energy party until late into the night. On Friday, the couple was smeared in turmeric paste for the Maiyan ceremony which is meant to enhance their beauty and make their skin glow for the wedding day. After an outdoor brunch, Naveen's uncles placed bangles on her wrists in a ceremony called the Choora. Saturday began with a Baraat processional to the ceremony hall to meet up with Naveen and her family for a tradition Sikh wedding. After cocktail hour on the hotel’s rooftop and a spectacular grand entrance, the couple enjoyed dinner, toasts, and their first dance before ending the night with the best dance party ever!! It was a weekend full of incredible food, community, beautiful tradition, dancing, and joy. It was the three day party of a lifetime and this amazing couple soaked in every moment of it.
