GLACIER NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT

Marissa and Julio's decision to elope to the beautiful mountains of Montana's Glacier National Park is fully reflective of the adventurous spirit they share. Completely accidentally, these two got married in a national park on the 104h anniversary of the founding of the National Parks Service. So many things came together to make this day absolutely, uniquely perfect.

These two camped their way across South Dakota and Montana before meeting up with Rudy and I, Kealani, for a BBQ lunch the day before the wedding. We were talking over beers and brisket about where we should have the ceremony. A kind woman at the table next to us overheard our conversation and told us that we HAD to go to Bowman Lake. She told us that it was a bumpy 2 hour drive up a winding dirt road, but it would be the perfect location for a wedding. Trusting her word and some incredible photos on Instagram, we decided to go for it!

The road was indeed bumpy and winding, but our Jeep took it like a champ, and we arrive at the lake in the early evening. The views, lighting, and weather were incredible, and there were very few people at the lake. We were thrilled!! Julio and Marissa did some quick-change shenanigans involving trees and a green plastic tablecloth they brought with for that purpose.

Rudy officiated their ceremony and Kealani filmed and photographed it. After their ceremony, Marissa and Julio waded into Bowman Lake and popped a bottle of celebratory champagne. It was the perfect way to celebrate their friendship and marriage, and we are so grateful to have been a part of it. It was one of the most memorable and special days of our lives, and we cherish their friendship deeply. These two are constantly encouraging one another, growing as people, and pouring generosity and kindness on their friends. We have a blast playing games with them, sharing enlightening conversation, and grilling out on summer nights. It was a joy to witness the beginning of our dear friends' marriage. Cheers to Marissa and Julio!
